Community Safety Net
A community effort to keep Yamhill County children from birth to seventeen safe and families together, while offering encouragement and information to help families at risk connect with resources
Knowledgeable RFS staff maintain relationships with many local resources for vulnerable children and families and help connect these families to resources they need to stay together and raise their children well. Community Safety Net and Teen Safety Net utilize Parenting Wisely, an evidence-based parenting curriculum, to assist parents with developing and strengthening effective parenting strategies.
The Yamhill community has been very supportive of the program by generously donating goods and services to assist families served through this RFS program. The annual coat drive, a collaborative community effort with significant support from the Yamhill County Chapter of Girl Scouts of America, collected and gave away over 600 coats to families in 2008.
