Enhanced Support for Foster Parents

An innovative solution to the crisis in foster care.

Spread the word
Endorsed by the Marion County Children and Families Commission and the Oregon Department of Human Services, the Enhanced Support for Foster Parents program will provide a heightened level of education and support to foster parents, create better experiences and results for foster youth, and help foster parents to enjoy a more rewarding experience and continue to stay involved in the State’s foster care system.

The new model will include Central Homes with experienced foster parents who will provide respite and mentorship to foster families. This model will establish an enhanced system of support for foster parents in their earnest efforts to provide safe, stable, nurturing homes for children in their care. As pictured below, the new model will include central homes with experienced foster parents who will provide respite and mentorship to foster families.
