I Work. We Succeed
Partnering for Success
“I Work. We Succeed” is the initiative through which local employers, the State of Oregon and private non-profit agencies like Catholic Community Services (CCS) work together to improve job opportunities for people with intellectual disabilities and business outcomes for employers.
The CCS Business Council works with our Employment Services Program and the “I Work We Succeed” Initiative to promote community jobs for people with Intellectual Disabilities (ID).
The council raises awareness about the benefits of hiring individuals who experience ID. In a national study by the Institute for Corporate Productivity, employers underscored many of these benefits including:
- An inclusive, diverse work force;
- Good talent matches for jobs;
- Motivated, dependable employees;
- Increased customer loyalty;
- Overall engagement.
