Thanks to the St. Monica Apartments Capital Campaign Committee, approximately $1.2 million has been raised to provide safe, affordable housing that also offers wrap around services for young mothers in crisis, allowing CCS to continue to carry out the vision and legacy of Reverend Monsignor Charles Taaffe.

The following is an excerpt from a recent Statesman Journal article:
The Spirit Mountain Community Fund, the charitable foundation of the Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde, has awarded a $75,000 grant to Catholic Community Services Foundation, money that will help the St. Monica Apartments open free of debt. The St. Monica Apartments will offer 10 homes and a live-in manager/mentor unit. On-site services will create a supportive environment for pregnant and/or parenting teens and young parents who need a safe, nurturing, and affordable place to live and raise their children. The campaign is being led by 12 long-time supporters of the Father Taaffe Homes. The committee members include: Honorary Chairman Richard Kreitzberg, General Chairwoman Glenda Anderson, Marypat Hill, Dave Hafner, Kevin Monaghan, Cathy Jarman, Norma Jean Fordyce, Rosemarie Frey, Lynda Harrington, Eileen Virden, Keith Kieres, and Gladys Blum.
